ASPSH offers ONLINE SEXUAL HEALTH WORKSHOPS and other workshops to ASPSH members and other interested individuals.
ASPSH’s Education Program provides training and educational opportunities to health, education and social service professionals and others interested in sexual health.We work to develop sexual health skills and knowledge enhancement. The purpose of the education program is to promote healthy relationships and increase effective sexual health promotion programming and support strategies.
Through the ASPSH Education Program, professionals and other interested individuals have opportunities to increase their understanding of the basic principles of sexual health education.As well, we promote the need to work collaboratively to fulfill the Canadian Sexual Health Education Guidelines.
Benefits of sexual health education include:
- Promotes behaviours that help individuals achieve positive results and avoid negative outcomes.
- Enables individuals, couples, families and communities to develop the knowledge, motivation and behavioural skills needed to enhance sexual health and to avoid sexual health–related problems.
